3D Technology Checklist
This product is 3D-related. To help you get a great 3D experience, use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need. 3D viewing requires:
A Display First, you'll need a 3D-ready display--whether it's a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays have more processing power than standard 2D models for displaying 3D images in rapid succession.
A Source Your display may be ready for 3D playback, but you'll still need a device to read 3D content. This can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3 system.
3D Content 3D content--the actual entertainment, in other words--will be played back using the source mentioned above, whether it's a 3D broadcast from your cable provider, a 3D Blu-ray Disc, or a 3D video game.
3D Glasses For now, the vast majority of 3D HDTVs require glasses for 3D viewing. Many use powered "active shutter" glasses, others polarized "passive" glasses. You'll need one pair per viewer, and they'll have to be compatible with your display, whether they're the same brand, or a pair of "universal" glasses designed to work across brands.
HDMI Cable To connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation feature bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second), for carrying the 3D signal without any loss of quality.

FULL HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Playback
Advanced 2D image technology accumulated over the years at the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory (PHL) has also been applied to 3D image playback, allowing high quality images to approach original film quality. Life-like 3D images with dramatic leaping effects and enhanced depth, luster and texture are beautifully reproduced.
Two International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards in both the video components category and video display category.
2D-3D Conversion
The 2D-3D Conversion makes it possible to convert images from DVDs and Blu-ray Discs into 3D with natural depth perception. This allows you to watch your prized DVD movie collection in 3D with real-life depth, for even greater viewing enjoyment.
3D Effect Controller
The 3D Effect Controller lets you moderate the leaping effects of 3D images. It also lets you adjust the amount of depth so you can view expansive images and enjoy movies with the exact kind of 3D effects you want.
Touch-Free Sensor
A motion sensor is now provided on the top panel of the Blu-ray Disc player. The disc tray can be opened or closed by simply passing your hand over the sensor. This is very useful when your hands are full or when you're in a dark room and can't see the buttons clearly.

Still Smiling -- Beat all expectations : Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Integrated-Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray DVD Player
EDIT 12-04-2011: I have read a few reviews that have stated that Panasonic put out a firmware update late summer/early fall that has supposedly fixed the Netflix issue.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Review from spring 2011:
Since I do not own a 3D television, the feature on the Blu-Ray player was not a driving factor for me.
I bought the DMP-BDT210 from Best Buy for the Internet streaming options of Netflix and Amazon Video On Demand. I was very disappointed that I was forced to return this player and replace it with the Sony BDP-S580.
The reason I say disappointed is that (PROS) I liked the setup and feel that Panasonic has for its interface. The wireless setup automatically connected to my Wireless N instead of Wireless G using the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). The DLNA services worked without issue.
The problems (CONS) are with the Netflix streaming. Panasonic uses the login/password method for you to connect to Netflix instead of the activate code used with other products. Once you input your credentials, you are presented with a very nice layout of your Instant Queue, Recently Watched and Recommended. Unfortunately, YOU CANNOT WATCH THEM! When you choose ANY movie/TV show, you get the message "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title."
When I contacted Netflix about it, I was informed that this is a known issue with the T210 and they gave me Panasonic's Support phone number. Netflix also told me to ask for 2nd level support as first level would not be able to actually do anything to fix the problem. Long story short, Panasonic DID NOT HELP with the issue. Their response was that Panasonic is aware of the problem. I was told that someone from 2nd level support would contact me within 24-48 hours. A week and a half later I still had not heard from tech support. I did some Google searches and discovered that this has been a problem since early March 2011. This is now the middle of April!!
As of this writing the latest firmware update is 1.56 and does not resolve the issue.
Now here is the kicker. It appears that this problem is a hit-or-miss. SomeT210's work perfectly while others do not. Something is different on the player other than the firmware/Software. I tried with two different BDT210's from two different Best Buy stores and had the same error with Netflix. I exchanged the Panasonic for the SAMSUNG BD-D6500 and was able to stream Netflix, but it would occasionally freeze. The player also would freeze on the Twitter App. I exchanged the Samsung for the SONY BDP-S580. Sony uses its own custom interface for the internet apps and the Netflix one is not as sophisticated as the Panasonic or the Samsung. Actually Sony's is subpar compared to the competition, but it works. The other (semi-bad) thing about the Sony is that they did not integrate a high end Wireless card in the hardware. The player will not connect to a Wireless N network unless you are broadcasting at the lower 2.4 GHz range. 5.0 GHz will not even show up when scanning for networks. Both the Samsung and the Sony connected to the 5.0 range.
My feelings on the Panasonic: It could have been a very good product. I might have been willing to wait a bit longer for a fix if the Panasonic Tech Support would have been more straight forward about the problem AND had at least responded to me in the 24 to 48 hour time frame that they committed to. I work in a tech support environment and a nonchalant answer and no follow up with the customer would be un-acceptable at my company.
So if you're thinking of getting the Panasonic DMP-BDT210 for Netflix streaming, check on the Panasonic site to see if they have a newer firmware version than 1.56. Also call Netflix to see if the problem is still being reported. Good luck.
Sorry if some folks don't agree with my review, but when I buy a product I expect ALL of the features to work and the manufacturer to take responsiblity for their product. This is a heads up for anyone that DOES want to use the Netflix feature in conjuction with the Blu-Ray.

Great Blu-Ray, on demand video serious problem : Sony BDP-S580 Blu-ray Disc Player (Black)
I did a lot of research before purchasing this player. I am not a big Sony fan, and lean more towards Samsumg. I got a Samsung C6800 and returned it after a few days. When I got the Sony, the first difference I noticed was the user friendly XMB menu bar on this player. Setting up options was a breeze and there are quite a bit that can be tweaked. The built-in Wi-Fi works flawlessly. Another good feature it has is that as it streams content, it would show you the current download speed which is neat. Want to control your player from your phone, there's an iPhone App for that. Load times and picture quality are comparable. It has nice sleak remote as opposed to the quite-frankly ugly Samsumg remote. So all in all it is a solid player and it has alot of the little touches that make it the best out there.
On a side note, I agree with the other reviewer about the limitation of picture quality on component video connections. But I would'nt take any stars from this player for that because it is a Blu-Ray industry issue. Any new player manufactured on or after Jan 2011 is supposed to restrict the quality on component connections. While it is a different discussion why they should or should'nt do that, bottom line is that it is not a short-coming of this player. If you have component video connections (and many people do), you should be considering the 2010 players.

Awesome for the son and daughter that fight over what to watch : Philips PD9016/37 9-inch Portable LCD Dual DVD player
I just installed this in my car after using the AC power to check it out inside the house. I'm very impressed with what you get for less than $200 nowadays. The picture quality is really very good. There's some degradation when attaching the second as a slave unit via the included cord, but your kids won't notice or complain. I also experimented with playing episodes of Lost from an iPod on the unit, which worked flawlessly. I already had an A/V cord that split the signal from 3.5mm connector that fits in the headphone jack of the iPod into yellow (video) and red & white (right and left audio, then the included Phillips cord brings it back from 3 to 1 to fit into the 3.5mm "A/V In" port on the unit. You might even be able to use the cord that attaches the two units together to go from iPod to one unit, I haven't tried that...
Perhaps I should have read the description better before ordering, but I didn't realize I was getting two screens that EACH have a DVD player built-in. Since we have only one child presently, this allowed us to install a unit in each car. I ordered a second car adapter for $12 on Amazon, so there'll be nothing that has to transfer between vehicles, other than our son and car seat, of course. Our guy is still facing backwards, and the unit secures safely to the face of the rear headrest. The DC cord is plenty long enough to run to the hatch of our SUV's where we plug them in and keep the wires out of the way. Sound quality and volume out of the speakers are great.
The Case Logic PDVD9 accommodates both screens and the cords very nicely. This is a must-have if you want to protect the units as you move them between cars and in/out of the car if you park in some sketchy areas.
Really pleased with the purchase. Can't speak for longevity, but a 1-yr warranty on a product like this seems pretty darn good, given the potential temperature extremes and bumpy rides the units may be subjected to.
