A great multi-region Dvd player for contemporary Tvs : New Pioneer DV 420K - All Region Free Multi System / Multi Region 1080p DVD Player with HDMI Upconverting & USB
I bought this for Christmas as we are British now living in the Usa and need a multi region Dvd to play our Dvd collection.
I idea this model would be excellent but how wrong I was.
It did not play Region 2 Dvds. I got the error that it was the wrong region. I called the distributor Vct -Voltage Converter Transformers and they were not very helpful. In fact they were lying to me. Instead of admitting a mistake which can happen to any company, they insisted this unit would have been checked by them. It clearly had not. Then they asked if this was a Bbc or Disney Dvd as they had had problems with these companies.
In a word Vct are a joke and I would not propose buying from them. Sitting here on Dec 23rd there is nothing we can now do. Vct have sold us something that does not work.
On the other hand Amazon were very pro when I called. They have given me an advanced refund as I spend a lot with Amazon and in 8 years of using them nearly every week I have never had to leave a bad enumerate until now.
